About us! Welcome Welcome at Montessorischool De Poort. Montessorischool De Poort: a school where you may score an A+ as a child We are able to pay attention, not only to the intellectual development of your child, but also at wellbeing. That’s why teachers are giving children the attention they need. We anticipate out of confidence, competence and happiness.
At Montessorischool De Poort your child is in the best hands! Our school is situated in the town of Maastricht in the south of the region Limburg, close to the Belgian Liége and the German Aachen. The neighbourhood where you can find our school is the Heugemerveld. A neighbourhood, which you can see as a very green neighbourhood. In the middle of this neighbourhood you can find our school in a building with the name La Bellettsa. This building was created in 2002 and is the home of several institutes, which work for children in the age of 2 to 12 year, between 7.30 PM until 18.00 AM. These institutes work together according to the principles of the magnet school, in which the school coordinates the pedagogic view on development of children. And we are doing it in a successful way!
We are working in 4
high-ability-based groups. Last school year we made a score on the national
test of 3x the maximum score of 550.
